Your First Chiropractic Visit: What to Expect
We all fear the unknown, even if it’s just a little bit. We want to make sure you are well-informed prior to your first visit to our office so that you feel relaxed and comfortable walking through our doors.
Be sure to arrive fifteen minutes prior to the appointed time for your first visit so that you have adequate time to complete the required paperwork we need to have on file for you. We’ll need to know about your health history, including any injuries you’ve experienced, chronic pain and any new or recent symptoms. If you’ve had prior chiropractic treatment or any kind of treatment for a current condition, we’ll need to know about that as well. We’ll also ask about your family health history, your dietary habits and your occupation and what it requires of you.
Getting an extensive profile of your health history allows us to get to know you and your body. We want to be educated on your body’s history so that we can properly treat it.
At your first appointment, we will perform a careful physical examination and analyze your body for any abnormalities or inconsistencies that may be contributing to current issues.
After the initial assessment, Dr. McGivney will create a tailored treatment program addressing your specific problems and personal concerns.
Our ultimate goal is to alleviate your aches and pains as quickly and effectively as possible and put you on a clear path to better health.
